Cats are good at hiding illness. A cat that suddenly hides, stops greeting you, or sleeps far more than usual is often unwell, even when there is no other obvious sign.

- Kidney, thyroid and other illnesses in older cats
- Stress
- Poisoning

- Note when your cat last ate, drank and used the litter box
- Do not give any human medicine. Paracetamol (Crocin, Dolo), ibuprofen and many others are poisonous to dogs and cats, even in small amounts.
