Your privacy and data protection are our top priorities at Sniffi. Learn how we collect, use, and safeguard your information.
Welcome to Sniffi's Privacy Policy ("Privacy Policy" or "Policy").
Sniffi Tech Private Limited and its affiliates (collectively referred to as "Sniffi", "we", "us", or "our") are engaged in the business of providing technology-enabled solutions that facilitate access to at-home pet healthcare and wellness services. Our platform connects pet parents seeking veterinary consultations, vaccinations, diagnostics, medicine delivery, and other related services with licensed veterinarians and verified service partners who offer these services.
This Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, storage, usage, processing, and disclosure of personal and pet-related data that you consent to share with us when you access, use, or otherwise interact with our website available at https://www.sniffi.in or any other digital platform operated by Sniffi (collectively, the "Platform"), or when you avail any of the products or services offered by Sniffi through the Platform (collectively, the "Services").
At Sniffi, we are committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. To provide you with a seamless and safe experience — including appointment booking, service delivery, diagnostics, or municipal corporation registration assistance — we collect and process certain information about you and your pets. This Policy explains how such information is collected, used, shared, and safeguarded.
Unless otherwise defined in this Policy, all capitalised terms shall have the same meaning ascribed to them in our Terms and Conditions, available at https://www.sniffi.in/terms ("Terms"). Please read this Policy in conjunction with the Terms.
By using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy, and you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described herein.
Please refer to the following sections to understand how the terms of this Policy apply to you.
(a) How this Policy applies: This Privacy Policy applies to all individuals who access or use Sniffi's website, mobile interface, or any other digital platform (collectively, the "Platform") and to anyone who avails or expresses interest in our veterinary, diagnostic, medicine delivery, or registration-related services (collectively, the "Services").
For clarity, references to "you", "your" or "user" throughout this Policy refer to a pet parent, customer, or end user who uses the Platform or avails any of the Services offered by Sniffi.
By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy and you consent to the collection, storage, use, processing, and disclosure of your personal and pet-related data by Sniffi, as described herein and in accordance with applicable laws.
(b) Review and Updates: Sniffi may review, update, or modify this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in business practices, legal or regulatory requirements, or to enhance user transparency. The most recent version will always be available on our website https://www.sniffi.in.
We encourage you to review this Policy periodically to stay informed of how we are protecting your information. It is also important that the personal data we hold about you (including contact details and pet information) remains accurate and up-to-date. Please notify us promptly if any of your details change during your relationship with Sniffi.
(c) Third-Party Services: The Platform may include links or integrations with third-party websites, plug-ins, applications, or services ("Third-Party Services") — for example, payment gateways, diagnostic lab partners, municipal registration portals, or analytics tools.
Clicking on or enabling these third-party links may allow those entities to collect or share information about you. Sniffi does not control and is not responsible for the privacy practices or policies of such Third-Party Services. When you leave our Platform or interact with these external links, we strongly encourage you to review the respective privacy policies of those third-party providers.
(a) Types of Data We Collect We collect different types of personal and pet-related data about you when you use our Platform or Services. This includes, but is not limited to, the following categories:
(i) Contact Data: Includes your name, mobile number, email address, home or service address, and location details required to schedule at-home veterinary visits or deliver medicines and other pet healthcare products.
(ii) Identity and Profile Data: Includes your name, profile details, photographs (if uploaded), gender, and information related to your pets such as name, species, breed, age, medical history, and vaccination records.
(iii) Service and Communication Data: Includes any information you share while booking or inquiring about Services on the Platform, such as service requests, notes to veterinarians, feedback, ratings, reviews, or messages exchanged through chat, call, or email. We may record and store communications for quality, training, or dispute resolution purposes.
(iv) Technical Data: Includes your IP address, device ID, browser type, internet service provider, operating system, device type, pages viewed, app usage patterns, access times, location data, log files, and similar identifiers collected automatically when you use our Platform.
(v) Transaction Data: Includes information related to payments for Services — such as transaction amount, payment method, date and time, and limited payment details (UPI ID or masked card details) provided by our payment gateway partners. Sniffi does not store or have direct access to your complete card or banking details.
(vi) Usage and Preference Data: Includes information about how you interact with the Platform — such as your booking history, service preferences, time spent, clicks, navigation patterns, and communication preferences. This helps us understand user behavior, improve functionality, and personalize your experience.
(b) Aggregated and Statistical Data We may also collect, use, and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic information for analysis, research, or marketing purposes. Aggregated data is derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data under applicable laws as it does not directly identify you. If we combine or connect such aggregated data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we will treat the combined data as personal data and protect it as per this Policy.
(c) Consequences of Not Providing Data Certain personal and service-related data is essential for us to provide veterinary consultations, diagnostics, or other Services effectively. Where the collection of such data is required by law or to perform our contractual obligations under the Terms, failure to provide it may result in Sniffi being unable to deliver some or all Services to you. In such cases, we may have to cancel or restrict access to specific features or bookings on the Platform.
We collect personal and pet-related information about you through various methods, depending on how you interact with our Platform and Services. These include:
(a) Direct Interactions You may provide information directly to us when you engage with Sniffi. This includes personal or pet-related data you share when you:

(b) Automated Technologies or Interactions When you visit or use the Platform, certain information is collected automatically to help us understand your usage patterns and improve your experience.
We collect Technical Data such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, device information, and location data using cookies, web beacons, server logs, and similar technologies.
These tools help us recognize you on repeat visits, personalize your experience (for example, pre-filling addresses or pet profiles), and provide relevant recommendations or reminders.
We may also receive certain technical data if you interact with other websites or apps that use our cookies or analytics tools.
(c) Third Parties and External Sources We may receive personal and service-related information about you from trusted third-party sources, including:

(b) Communication and Service Coordination By creating an account and using Sniffi's Services, you authorise Sniffi, its authorised veterinarians, partners, and affiliates to contact you through email, phone, SMS, WhatsApp, or in-app notifications. This communication may be necessary to provide updates on bookings, confirm appointments, share diagnostic results, or inform you about relevant Services and features.
(c) Data Sharing for Service Delivery You acknowledge that certain information shared by or about you — including pet details, service preferences, contact data, or correspondence — may be collected, processed, and shared by Sniffi with authorised partners for legitimate business purposes.
This may include, but is not limited to:
● Licensed veterinarians providing the requested consultation or treatment, ● Diagnostic labs or technicians handling sample collection and reporting, ● Payment processors or logistics providers, ● Municipal authorities for pet registration assistance, and ● Consultants, auditors, or legal advisors assisting Sniffi in operations and compliance. All such sharing is done strictly on a need-to-know basis and under confidentiality obligations.
(d) Disclosures Required by Law Sniffi may disclose your information without prior consent when required by law, regulation, court order, or government authority. Such disclosures are made in good faith and only when reasonably necessary to:
● Comply with legal obligations, ● Enforce this Privacy Policy or our Terms, or ● Protect the rights, property, or safety of Sniffi, its users, or others.
(a) What Are Cookies? Cookies are small text files that a website or its service provider places on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) through your web browser — with your permission. They allow the website's systems to recognise your browser, capture certain information, and remember your preferences to enhance your browsing experience.
(b) How Sniffi Uses Cookies We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to help us:
● Recognise repeat visitors and distinguish you from other users of the Platform; ● Understand and save your preferences (such as your city, pet details, or booking preferences) for future visits; ● Facilitate smoother navigation across the Platform and personalise your experience; ● Track and analyse usage patterns to improve site performance, speed, and design; and ● Measure marketing effectiveness and compile aggregate statistics on user traffic and interactions. We may also work with trusted third-party analytics or advertising partners who assist us in understanding user behaviour and improving our Platform. These service providers are contractually bound to use collected information only for Sniffi's business purposes and not for their own commercial use.
(c) Third-Party Cookies You may encounter cookies or similar tracking tools on certain pages of the Platform that are set by third parties (for example, analytics providers, advertising networks, or embedded social media widgets). Sniffi does not control these third-party cookies and is not responsible for how they are used.
We encourage you to review the privacy or cookie policies of such third parties to understand their data collection practices.
You can modify your browser settings to disable cookies or receive alerts when cookies are being sent. However, please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality or user experience of certain parts of the Platform.

(b) Opting-out of Marketing and Promotional Communications When we send you marketing or promotional content by email, we make best efforts to include simple opt-out instructions in those communications. You understand and acknowledge that it may take us up to 10 (ten) business days to process your opt-out request. Please note that even after opting out of marketing communications, we may still send you non-promotional messages relating to your account or Services you have requested or received (for example, booking confirmations, appointment reminders, invoices, or important service updates).
(a) Notwithstanding anything contained in the Terms, you may request deletion of your Sniffi account and the personal data stored with Sniffi by sending an email to athome@sniffi.in. Sniffi will take reasonable steps to process such requests and may take up to 7 (seven) working days to complete the deletion.
(b) Once your account is deleted you will lose access to all Services and any data associated with your account on the Platform. For the avoidance of doubt, certain information relating to transactions you have performed on the Platform (for example, billing, tax or regulatory records) may be retained by Sniffi to the extent required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes, after which such data will be securely archived or anonymised in accordance with this Policy.
(c) If we are unable to fulfil your deletion request (for example, where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve a dispute or enforce our Terms), we will inform you of the reason for the refusal and any available alternatives.
(a) Cross-Border Storage and Processing Sniffi complies with all applicable laws and regulations governing the storage and transfer of personal data. As part of providing our Services, the personal data and information you share with us may be transferred to, processed, and stored on servers located outside India or in jurisdictions other than the one in which you reside.
This may occur when:
● Our cloud servers or backup systems are hosted in another country, ● Our technology partners, diagnostic labs, or service providers operate internationally, or ● We use third-party vendors or tools (such as analytics, communication, or payment processors) that store data on global servers. Regardless of where your data is processed or stored, Sniffi ensures that such transfers are conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws and that adequate safeguards are in place to protect your information.
(b) Your Consent By using our Platform or submitting your personal and pet-related information to Sniffi, you expressly consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
All such transfers are made only as necessary for the performance of our Services, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate business purposes — while ensuring that your information remains protected to a standard consistent with Indian data protection requirements.

(a) Duration of Retention You acknowledge and agree that Sniffi will retain your personal and pet-related data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide our Services, maintain records of veterinary and diagnostic history, comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, and enforce our rights under the Terms.
Even after you delete your account or stop using the Platform, certain data may continue to be stored for a reasonable period to:
● Comply with tax, accounting, or regulatory requirements; ● Resolve disputes; ● Prevent fraud or misuse; or ● Enforce our agreements. Once data is no longer required for these purposes, it will either be securely deleted, anonymised, or aggregated in accordance with applicable law and Sniffi's internal data-retention policy.
(b) Aggregated and Anonymised Data In some cases, we may convert your personal data into aggregated or anonymised information that cannot identify you or your pet. Such data may be used indefinitely for internal research, analytics, or statistical purposes to help us improve our Services, understand pet health trends, and develop new offerings — without further notice to you.
You acknowledge that, in the event Sniffi undergoes a business transition — including a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of all or part of its business or assets — your personal data may be among the assets transferred to the acquiring or successor entity.
In such cases, Sniffi will ensure that the receiving entity is bound by obligations that provide a level of protection consistent with this Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection laws.
Sniffi may allow you to post or share content on the Platform — including reviews, comments, feedback, photos of your pets, testimonials, or any other information you choose to make publicly available. Please note that any content you upload or share on the Platform may become publicly visible to other users and visitors.

Sniffi therefore disclaims any liability, whether express or implied, arising out of or related to such use by third parties.
You agree to ensure that all content you post complies with applicable laws and does not infringe upon any third-party rights, including intellectual property, privacy, or data-protection rights. You further acknowledge that you will be solely responsible for any information or content published by you that violates applicable laws or third-party rights.
